Final Fairbairn's kick at the gun lifts the Texans past the Jaguars in London
Houston won a wild one at Wembley Stadium. Ka'imi Fairbairn made a 49-yard field goal as time expired to give the Texans a 34-31 win over Jacksonville in the morning game, according to the Associated Press. C.J. Stroud threw for 312 yards and three touchdowns, two of them to tight end Foster Moreau, and then led the winning drive after his only interception of the season had let the Jaguars back in.
That interception belonged to Travis Hunter. The Jaguars' two-way player picked off Stroud in the end zone in the fourth quarter, which led to Cam Little's 60-yard field goal to tie it with under two minutes left, and he also caught a 7-yard touchdown pass. ESPN reported that he is the first player since Philadelphia's Brian Dawkins in 2002 to catch a touchdown pass and make an interception in the same game. Trevor Lawrence threw four touchdown passes in the loss.
Marvin Harrison Jr. made his Texans debut days after a trade from Arizona and caught three passes, the AP reported. Houston, playing without running back David Montgomery, has now won two straight and sits at 2-4. Jacksonville, at 4-2, still leads the AFC South and goes into its bye week.
